Default 456's, worth it?

I might consider swapping to 456 gears. Are they a much improvement over the 410's? What are the ups and downs to this conversion?

I had 4.56 on stock tires, truck was real quick, responsive and torquie. Loved it. Changed up my wheels and tires to 37's and it feels like a pig to me. I'm in the middle of changing out my gears to 5.13 now gives me room to grow to 40s and still be lower geared than stock.

Did you experience change in MPG's?
How about your RPM's, where they any higher?

Yea I went from 12 to 8.5. I'm hoping to get back atleast 1.5.

W the 37's it couldn't keep overdrive on the highway. Throttle at X% drop out to third gear. Hoping to get that overdrive back since i'll have more torque at less throttle.

Truck had 4.56 in it when i bought it. There isn't what I consider a major RPM difference.

Good calc here, compare options side by side.
Gear Ratio Calculator

1) GM 4L60/4L60E
Manual or Auto with lockup torque converter

2) High Range - 1
Low - 2.64

3) None

4) 4.10

Put your current **** in the left column and what ever your thinking about changing to on the right. There isn't any possible thing you can't calculate or figure out from that page.

Are 4.10 gears what come in the H2 stock?

I'm on 37's towing a 6000# boat on weekends and I'm contemplating a gear change as well.
