Resurrecting an old thread... I guess most threads will fall in that category.

Thanks for the info. I was still able to locate this part on eBay. I appreciate both the information and the part number.

i was able to purchase the mirror for what my dealer was going to charge for just a “diagnostic fee”

Great Thread...!!! Thanks.. I have a 2009...so far So good... But when it comes time to handle that problem... It's off to My Fav HUMMER H2 Mechanic Bill Ennis at Nucar Chevy in New Castle Delaware..Former Hummer Dealer with a Bunch Of HUMMER Mechanics still working there,

I have an Extended Warranty ( Number 2) ..Good till 2021 and 80 K miles. Already paid for it's self and I never had any agg or time spent on my part for repairs. I don't mind working on the little stuff but when it comes to the big stuff ..Fa-Get-Bout -It..

Default Work for ‘07?

Assume NOT and that the 05 fix is same for ‘07 but just curious. Would be great if this ‘08 fix works on ‘07. Thank you!

I know this is an old thread but does the motor assembly have all of the associated gears built in? In other words when you replace that you replace all of the mirror mechanicals? Except for the fold in part of course.

Yes. The bolt on replacement motor adjusts the mirror on all axis.

It truly is an easy fix
