Default 05 with 09 or 10 VCIM

Hey all,

Was curious if anyone knows if the VCIM out of a newer GM will work with an 05 H2? Looking for Bluetooth functionality and not really interested in Bluestar option, would rather us OEM if it is plug & pray...

Thanks in advance, and I did search but didn't find anything on my question.

Hi i don't think it will work for class 2 like in your truck only 2008/09 hummers that have GM LAN and 2007 up gm trucks that use GM LAN. I did the vcim change in my truck works great but no onstar and i never tried to get it to work. I use my cell phone all the time with free nights and weekends. I also had a Bluestar 2010 before i did the vcim change it worked ok but i wanted the phone # to come up in the DIC so i changed the vcim. Hope this helped.

Default Location of the VCIM in a 07 H2

I just got my VCIM from out of a 09 H2 hoping that it will work in my 07 H2. I have the Limited Edition with a Lux Pkg. My Onstar buttons are not on the rearview mirror they under the temp. controls. Does anyone know where the VCIM unit is. I was told the the onstar buttons are connected to the VCIM in my truck and the center console needed to be removed. If anyone has info or has done this already, your help would be appriciated greatly!!

I got my new vcim for my 07 H2, and it didn't work. It wouldn't even power up. I was hoping because it worked for 07 GM trucks, it MIGHT work for my 07 H2 but thats not the case......now what do I do!!!??! I need bluetooth and I want something intergrated with the factory system.
I appriciate the help!!
