I've been kind of obsessed with the thought of having a straight axle on the front of the hummer h2. It would be a beast.

As far as I know, the front of the H2 frame is the same as the 2500 frame.

My question is, would I be incorrect in thinking I could use a solid axle conversion kit made for the 2500?

that's a totally custom setup and atleast 12-15 inches of lift.

My question is about the front of the H2 frame vs the the 2500hd frame.

All the 2500's Ive looked under look the exact same as the H2, to me. But Im not comparing every hole, and nook and granny. Ill start paying better attention.
I think it would be an awesome project. The kits are around $1500 an then just finding and axle and any mods you want to do to it.

 

Exactly. I really think it can be done way cheaper than most believe.
I saw a thread somewhere that said 03+ dodge front axle work with the electronics. Any insight on this?

I dont have any insight. Most of my 4WD experience is with late 80's Fords when things were simple. No computers involved. A swap meant adding another lever to your floor board. And you had to get out of the truck to actually put it in 4WD. Bet very few here remember them days.

So far I haven't found anything really documenting a SAS on a H2.
Maybe you need to be the 1st....................

 

Theres a 10.5 14 bolt, and Dana 60 for sale local to me...........

Had a funny hair to try this swap, but all the reading I've done its not worth it.
Id like to get the 10.5 14 bolt, but the guy wont separate.
