Wipe New has made a believer out of me. Has held up very well in the SoCal sun.

Eastwood aerosol black plastic restorer. It's not a paint. It slightly melts the plastic allowing the restoration of the original finish.

But this product does require serious cleaning before use.

Just use the heat gun method and stop wasting money on 1 month products.

Take your heat gun on low, stay a few inches away from your faded black parts, and they will go back to new. And last for a few years! Then do it again...easy!

Just one of many videos on YouTube that show you how!

Easy!

Look for Gtechniq line of products to coat your trim. The best so far.

I have tried all the standards like back to black, etc. They are all very temporary. The best thing I have found is a ceramic coat. Doesn't matter the brand but as long as its good it will last! I have applied Ceracoat Trim Coat myself which lasted a year plus. I then had a detailer ceramic coat the whole car so he stripped what I had and then applied the same over the entire car. It was still working and looking great when he stripped it. I don't know what brand he used but it looked great and he used it everywhere (paint, plastics, trim). Everything stays super black and it isn't oily to the touch. He told me its good for 3 years outside and 5 years or so if you garage keep it. I have no doubt as my paint is so shiny and smooth you can't get a photo without being in the picture if you are close.
