Default Rear back-up camera location

Hi guys! I am thinking of having a rear back-up camera installed on my '03. The spare tire is on the rear hatch and the license plate is on the left rear corner of the bumper. Where is the best location to install the camera? I'm not really a fan of the license plate camera thing

Thanks!

On my h3, I got it on the license plate (back left) too.
The "mechanic" who installed mine said "if you want me to drill into your bumper or roof, I can do that but the camera will stick out". Based on Jethro's offer and thinking about leaks in the roof or the camera hanging down under bumper (to clear tire), I just decided license plate is best.
The camera on there gives about a 165 degree view so you can see things pretty well. I do still look over both shoulders when I back up - even in my h2 with its backup camera.

Bas thing about license plate camera...
#1 The camera is next to light bulb on license so at night backing up your depth of view is reduced, the bulb gives the screen a white'ish foggy look
#2 Heavy rains can cause drops to sit on the lense of the camera

If I had a wish, I would have asked them to install the license camera frame upside down so it wasnt close to the bulb
I was going to do that but I didnt see a switch to invert image (top to bottom - left to right)

Thanks for the suggestion, atari800! Where is the back up camera located on your H2? Will the tow hitch area be a bad location for the back up camera

On the h2 it is either above or below that square bracket where you would have the ball/pivot or whatever it is call. Flush to the bumper.
*it raining out here or I would go and take a look

I was admiring a h2 the other day and their back-up camera was right under the middle red marker light. At first i didnt see it but my wife asked me what it was. Pretty good spot if you ask me.
