Default keeping an oem radio that has aux input?

hey everyone i just got my 06 h2 and dislike i dont have an aux input to play music with my phone to. i know with out gm cars and trucks in 07 they started the aux input. were the hummers like that also? if so is there any other style gm radio with an aux input that would just be plug and play? also what about a hummer navigation radio? is that plug and play if i bought one? thanks chris

you would get everything you want with the latest alpine nav unit.which does interface with the bose amp. however you are best to switch speakers and add alpine amp. when you do add the alpine system with amp, you gain great sound. howver there are some drawbacks. you will lose door chimes, and turn signal chime and onstar. these things run off the bose amp, and as of now there is no patch cable available to fix this issue. i really dont miss losing these features

What is the model number on that unit? Also how can you tell if the radio will interface with the Bose amp? I'd like to retain OnStar the others not so much. Will I still be able to use the steering wheel controls. That's more important then OnStar. Thanks chris

I installed a factory nav in my 06, does not have an aux input stock but you can add an interface to add an aux if you wanted. I think you can with the regular radios as well.

Yeah I saw that box to add the aux I decided I sisnt want that. Call me weird but I want to keep things as clean and OEM looking as can be.

As for the alpine unit I hope you weren't referring to the x009-gm. That's listed for 07 and up and seamslike it replaces the whole cluster of things including heat controls. And it doesn't fit hummer. But until I saw that part and the 2500+$ price tag thats exactly what in looking for lol but just in a standard double din touch screen type thing

I was looking for quite a while for a touchscreen and the prices were absolutely ridiculous from when I bought one years ago for a different car of mine. That was why I went factory touch screen.
