Default Installing new door speakers

For those of you who have replaced your front door speakers in your H2, how did you go about it?

I bought JBL's for all 4 doors. The front Bose have that weird integrated bracket/basket which clips into the door. Did you guys just drill new holes for your speakers?

I don't really see any other way. I just want to be sure before I go punching holes in my doors.

Thanks in advance!

Going through this as we speak! My install guys have fabricated mdf (covered with epoxy resin so as not to rot) speaker baffles and mounted them to the doors and the new speakers (hertz mpk 165.3s in my case) to the baffles. I've not had it back yet but seen pics. Am on vacation at the moment so can't post pics to you so easily. Also make sure you put some sound deadening behind there, will help the mid bass no end.

Oh and everything fits behind the existing grills so it's stealth.

Thanks Lojack. I just took the car for a ride, it sounds much better. I am really pleased with the quality. It's really clear, but without sounding harsh/clinical if that makes sense. They need to be run in, but they're really punchy for mid bass. If i didn't like certain types of bassy music, i'd be happy running these without a subwoofer!
The subwoofer rounds it off though. Will add more pics later/tomorrow. The sound deadening has made the car much quieter. You can't really hear the engine at idle, when stationary, and traffic sounds quieter. Am pleased.
