Hey folks,

this is my first post, i hope of many!

I just wanted to say that you guys are real lucky cause u got a delearship ready to help you out for service and all that.

I live in Costa Rica, and we got no hummer delearship, i have to bring ,my h3 in from Arizona!

Let me all tell you it takes an extra degree of passion to buy a car that is over priced (70,000$ here import taxes are almost 70%), and especially w no delearship.

Every oil change is a challenge! When i had to change break pads i bought them on ebay!

Beside all the pains i love my h3, regardless of the selfmade mantainance that i m forced too, the crazy price tag i had to pay cash.

H3 RULES!!

:)

Welcome! $70,000!!! You are dedicated sir! Doing your own maint. is good! At least you know its getting done right! Besides, after paying that to import it, why would you wanna pay high dealer maint. prices!

Do you have a GMC or Chevrolet dealership?  They can both service your drivetrain needs and change your oil.

Welcome to the forum and I agree that you love your vehicle to pay that. I would venture to say that most fellows on here will help. I live 2 hours to the closest dealer and I thought that was bad. if there is anything you ever need like me to send you something or get you something let me know as I will help. I lived in Cuba for two years and had a new Cadillac there and it was interesting to say the least.

hello costarica dave!

just to say your not alone!
paid over $100000 for mine!with our crazy taxes here in cyprus.sounds crazy i know but thats not all.
had my tires, leveling kit, markerlights, brushguard and underbody protection shipped over from the states which cost a bundle and do all the maintenance with a mec friend at his small garage next to his home.
love my h3 along with my bikes and jetski which i maintain myself!
so happy i found this forum!been getting all my info from here and also from another hummer forum!
thanks everyone!!!!!
