One of the guys that ran the Mojave Trails with us had a powertank. He used it to help several people air back up. Seemed pretty cool. I just use a pretty powerful air compressor, but the powertank was cool. Took up more room than my compressor though.

I think I could use one in my service van... and then take it on the trails... I miss using my air tools at work... and I don't have a compressor in my new van...

That would really be cool if it was work related and they would pay for it.

I think they would pay to refill it.... and if anything happened to it... but it would be like the rest of my stuff... I buy it.. and they back/insure it...

Better than nothing.

If you get one let me know what you think about it. I don't need it for the H1s but it takes longer than you would expect to air the 33" inch tires up from 18 to 35 psi. The power tank seemed to air up much quicker and I have a heavy duty small compressor.

I've seen them in action and they work well... much faster than an air compressor....
I have not used Trey's yet...
BUT... they say if you use the monster valves you can add 30 psi in under 30 seconds...

That would be worth it. I bet I spent 20 minutes air up four tires.

oh yeah... the guy we saw use it in West Virginia aired up his in about 5 minutes total... mostly because everybody wanted to see it...

If I am going to take the 3 offroad much I may have to look into one of these.

They have smaller tanks if you don't think you will use it much... or they have a pretty impressive construction package... those pocket bottles look handy if you were doing finish work...

I don't actually do much myself except projects around the house. The small tank would work if it holds enough for 4 tires.

They 5lb might be the best overall for you....

Depends on which one I just got. Only need one power tank.
