So Winter will be approaching soon in the Northern US. And we all know that means SALT!!!!
I have never had chrome wheels before until now. In the past I have always had painted silver or machined aluminum. The H2 i just bought has Chrome Mazzi 18' wheels. I am not in a position to just buy another set of tires and wheels for my ride this winter. Is there anything I can do to protect my rims from the salt? How tough are Mazzi Chrome rims Are they made of aluminum or stainless etc......

Get a snowmobile.

Wax/polish em up good before the snow flys, clean them often, even at the spray wash inside and out. If you can bring the truck inside, or we get a warm day mid winter, wax/polish them again. Oh yeah, keep your fingers crossed too.

The new stuff seems to hold up better than years ago.

Just wash them.... salt doesn't destroy the wheels the second it touches it.... neglect destroys them...
Get the powerball and take care of them the same you would any other season....

The only thing that destroys your rims are the curbs behind the snow
