I think they''ll fit, they only have to exapand out a 1/4" more on boths sides from 8.4"..but here is a handy dandy tire calculatore..you decide.

im being told that if i go with a 16" rim and keep my 33" duelers that it will hit the tire rod? i cant understand why when its the same size rim and tire i had before. anyone know about this? they are saying i need 17" and new tires!

It could be in the design of the wheels you are looking at. Where are you getting the information from, the manufacturer of the wheels, or someone selling them? At one time I had a fitment issue on a Camaro I had, I had a set of steel wheels, and a set of aluminum wheels with the exact same offset and dimensions, but the aluminum ones hit the caliper brackets, yet the steel ones fit! It could just be the make-up of the new wheels!

melvnray - it all depends on your offet bro, only way you could possibly hit your tie rod is if you go with more - offset. Stock is -38 as long as you go with less negative you will be fine. Remember more negative means closer to tie rod, less negative or even positive offset means out towards the fender.

There are two main things you need to look at when replacing wheels on an H3, one is if you go with a 16 make sure the inner diameter in the back of the wheel is as big or bigger than stock. H3's us big ass calipers and they could rub the inside of the wheel if you go smaller than stock. The other important thing is to get a large bore size (hole in the middle of rim) Any rim from a 4x4 cevy will fit as long as the offset is less than -38.

here is a +12 offset wheel, it sticks out some but looks better and the truck handles much better now because of the wider track.

In New York that would not be legal with out fender flares...there is a law here that wheel can not extend past the fenders of the vehicle...not that they enforce it much but it is still the law and they can if they want to be a prick about it...

here to, but they never enforce it. I was told by one cop about the fact that he could give me a ticket for it. I pointed to his expedition cop truck that they use here and showed him that his stock truck tires were sticking about 1/4 past the wheel well...he laughed and said yea thats why we don't write tickets for it.
