Okay. It's been a year since I was first seduced by the H2SUT. I first met this wonderful vehical at the 2006 Detroit Auto show and instantly fell in lust. The soft leather, the luxurious interior, all the bells and whistles beckoned to me. I couldn't resist.I just had to have one. A year later, I am the proud owner. Switching from a full sized Ford F350 was difficult, and I still sometimes miss it, but this H2 is the one... It satisfies all of my truck needs. Each morning as I drive to my job, I am wrapped in the warmth of the heated leather seats and comforted by the strong stability at which it handles the road. On weekends, when we're out for a little fun, I am reminded of the power I wield with just the turn of a key... Aaaahhhhh. Me and my H2. It's a beautiful thing....

Definitely a 'true love' story...may your relationship continue to grow stronger.
As for me...I like my H2 as well, but still miss my '74 Dodge 'Challenger', '81 Ferrari '308GTSi', and will continue to lust for a '70-'71 Plymouth 'cuda - with a non-'Barret-Jackson' inflated price tag.

I wanted a
HUMMER since Arnie got the 1st civilian one back in the day.
But personally, the H1 just isn't for me. I'm more of a leather seat heater/cushy interior kinda guy!! So the H2 was
JUST RIGHT!!!

You young guy's have to realize that things were much different back when Dennis and I were young. Ya know the free love, everyones banging everyone hippie days.

We learned young in those days.

Kinda an old thread, but I wanted to put my two cents in since Im on the path to being a permanent fixture around here :P
I had always wanted a H1, it was my dream car ever since I was 10. Then the H2 came out, still too much.
Now that Im all grown up, I was outside an Applebee's and I saw a yellow h2 SUV and thought, why couldnt i drive what I wanted. So I looked into it, test drove one and was in love. I thought for sure I was going to get an orange one cause I test drove 3 different orange ones, but there was always something stopping me.
Finally after almost 10 different H2 test drives I found my beast.

It was way back in '92, a friend of mine had an actual Military surplus Humvee. It was gutted and barely ran but it was a beast! Then it was some years later I saw the civilian Hummer that I truly fell in love. And of course I had wanted an H2 since they came out until about a month ago when I joined the club!

I remember they were raffling off one of the first civilian Hummers - when they were numbered and available from Nieman Marcus catalog. Unfortunately, I was too young to gamble at the time..
