Hey 'all,
just wondering what you guys are using to clean the chrome tips on your exhaust's ?
I just got these installed the end of Nov , and they look horibble now. I kept them rinsed off this winter the best I could , but these Ohio winters with salt are doing them in.I thought about using 0000 steel wool , but is there a cleaner that works better or to use in conjuntion with ?
Thanks ...................................................Shawn

Are they Chrome, or stainless steel? I've heard guys use oven cleaner to clean exhaust tips before, but have never tried myself.

Stainless steel , but for stainless they look crudy ..maybe thats normal for winter , and the exhaust baking the crude on them ?? I called the shop and they said use WD40 , and let them soak for a while , than wipe off with soft cloth , than use any stainless steel polish.

Sounds about right. Though I use CHROME POLISH as I was told stainless steel cleaner can scratch??Don't know if this is true??
