I was putting on a rear bumper guard and when I went to put on the bracket on the drivers side I ran into a problem theres this bar welded to the rear cross member that's in the way. Nothing is attached to it. Anyone know what it is?

Isn't it set-up to go around it? Glad you brought this up, am thinking about getting one myself.

Maybe it will, i'll try again. I was getting a bit cold so I didn't have the patients to really see.

No rhill20, it wont go around. Atleast not that I can see. Maybe it's something new for the 2008, who knows. I don't see a purpose for it. Oh and if you don't have a 2006 you have to drill a hole in the cross member on the passenger side. No big deal on that. I'm wondering if I can just cut that bar off. I just want to make sure it's not something important.
