So I was at the pearl jam concert in Jersey friday........ come out to find a nice key mark going down side of my truck............................. it''''''''s not like I said or did anything to anyone to piss them off besides owning a beautiful truck.... To top it all off on sunday when I came out of the movie theatres I catch some drunk asshole messing with my front plates on my truck. I chase the puzzy to his car where his girl is and he bolts away, in a lil **** honda.................... What alarm system do you guys use or recommend? paying 700 for respray every couple months is not fun......................

Colt 1911 .45. Don''t have an alarm on any of mine. ( NRA Patron sticker seems to have worked so far )

I was going to suggest a 9mm.  That way they might have a chance of surviving to remeber and hopefully learn from there mistakes! lol

I have a Clifford AvantGuard (AG)4.  It is arguably the best vehicle security system ever sold.  It''s discontinued, but you can occasionally find them on eBay, and its replacement, the AG5 can be bought from Clifford dealers and is very good.

That said, no alarm is going to keep your truck from being keyed.  If you use a proximity sensor it may "chirp" if someone is near.  IF you turn up the sensitivity so it goes in to alarm everytime somebody walks by it will false so much you won''t even pay attention to it....... especially in a crowd leaving a pearl jam concert.

If you want more input, I can give it to you, but an alarm wont do anything for yo as far as this situation.

Would be great if Taser Intl. would develop an auto security system which electrified the body panels under the paint and primer.  Mr. Douchebag walks along, decides to place his key through the paint and primer and bam, key touches metal and the circuit is complete.  Word would get spread quickly!

Sorry to hear about your rig man!
I hate to hear SH*T like this

Alarm won''t help you with that, but you do NEED an alarm to protect your rig, and what''s inside it.

Protect your ride, you paid good money for it!
