Currently own a 2007 Honda Ridgeline RT-L w/nav. I will get a H3 truck as soon as it becomes available. This is my second ridgeline and it is a really good truck but I have always said as soon as Hummer comes out with a truck I will get one. I love the look. I am an engineer specializing in hydraulic systems design (hence my login). So, while I can't help on the current models I will browse a bit and add If I can.

Welcome hiPSI,

I can’t say anything bad about the Ridgeline because everything Honda makes is good but the H3T also peaks my interest and I’ve only had my 08’ H3 Alpha for 2 months. Lucky for me my wife loves the Alpha so the H3T wouldn’t be a hard sell as far as she’s concerned.

I was at my stealership on Wednesday and told my salesman to call me as soon as the H3T arrives so I can be one of the first to drive it. But I must admit my last three pickups have all been diesels for the obvious reasons. I’m anxious to see if the Alpha is as reliable as my Ford Powerstroke was.

Glad to have you onboard.  You won't have to wait too much longer, let us know when you get it.

Thanks for the welcome. The Ridgeline is a great truck and as I said in my first post, this is my second one. Unfortunately, I have had one wreck in my 29 years of driving and it was the first ridgeline. Suffice to say the truck protected myself, my wife and my two children with the worst injury being a busted lip. I hit a stopped van on the interstate and a truck hit me in the rear.... at 60 mph. No tickets. I had 62K on the first truck and I have about 20K on this one. I have a couple "newbie" questions for the H3 owners reading this: How is the reliability when the milage starts to approach 50K+? I appreciate the 100K drivetrain warranty but how often is it used? Also, I will be putting quite a few miles on road (kids soccer and work trips) so how is the H3 ride? I know the H3T will have a longer wheelbase which usually translates into a better ride but just want to hear from current owners. The off road side will be used when my son and I go ride mountain bikes. We ride about 1000 miles a season. Thanks in advance.

That's a good question that should be directed at the Alpha owners especially since that model just came out early last year. My wife currently drives a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 117,000 miles on it that looks and runs like new so we tend to keep our vehicles.

hiPSI    ...  Well, can't say I understand your choice of jap crap, but that's another story.  Welcome to the forums.

My last 3 Chevy trucks all went over 100k w/o significant problems (water pump, EGR valve, starter, two alternators),  my GMC had 162k when I sold it to a guy that is still driving it, it needed a transmission rebuild (same auto trans in the H3).

My 07 H3 Adventure only has 12.5k, but I have NEVER been back to the dealer for any service whatsoever.  I like your potential choice of the H3T, it looks very interesting, and I would consider one as well.
