I think the I-5 engine is a bit noisey. I noticed there is no insulating pad under the hood. I think I found one with a GM part number (Hummer H3 underhood blanket 17800341) $82.
Does anyone have one or seen one? I need to know if our hood is pre-drilled for the retainers. It looks like it is. I even considered dynomatting the firewall.

Has Dilo done this???
I think there are 8 retainers. I don't think I want to drill 8 new holes!

Thanks for the lead Dennis. Found some Woobies over there too. Looks like an easy project. I'm gonna order one from Lynch Hummer for $82.

What the hell is a Woobie? It sounds like Chewbaca's love child.

Mark; does it even help with the engine noise or is it worthless? Wouldn't it make the engine compartment hotter?
Maybe this is the reason why some people have engines that run hotter then others.

I think it serves as you mentioned Bob, as a Sound deadener...heat build up won't be an issue.
