Has anybody put trailer brakes on there H3. And if so are thay pre-wired for the controler..

Yes i have.They are marked and are tucked up under the steering wheel

There is a thick red & blue and a skinny black & blue wire marked brakes under dash by steering column

Did your H3 come with towing package. Mine did so thats why i was already wired

Yes It came with the tow package.

Well is there any other place they could have hidden those wire? I've searched all up under the dash and I can't find the 4 wires described here. I do have the towing package I'm sure of that.
Also, if you have no brake controller do the trailer brakes work at all? Do they come on and off at all with the activation of the brake pedal or do you need the controller?
I know that the controllers provide "proportional" braking but do you get any signal at all sent to the trailer without a controller?
