Hmmm let's see, some place nice but not too expensive.....in May...maybe Key West? (I'm partial to sun, surf and sand in the warm months myself)  I personally prefer places down here that are less touristy, but Key West is a great place to go and party and play!  Like Paige says, Vegas is always good...Nawlins in the French Quarter is good....cruises are nice....

I was not going to reply because ou wanted the ladies opinion but I have to say if you do plan on Niagara Falls make sure it is the Canadian side...it is so much better in all ways and lots to do...Trust me I live 22 miles from the falls and the Canadian side is 200 o/o better.

If you do go to Niagara Falls let me know.  There is a great (cheap) hotel right on Clifton Hill.  Which is right in the middle of things.  Also remember that you will now need a passport.

It depends on your personal taste, but personally my husband and I think Costa Rica.  We too have visited hawaii but found it to be a little to crowded in maui for our taste.

If you are looking to use those round trip tickets, you could come to Portland, Or. I know, you are thinking WTF is there, but Mt Hood has skiing year round, along with rock climbing, There are ample places to go wine tasting, if you are into that, the coast is an hour and a half away. The scenery is beutiful and green, and the Columbia River Gorge has some of the best wind surfing in the world. Portland is also rich in culture and history. The Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Or, about 22 miles away is home of the "Spruce Goose," the airplane built be Howard Hughes along with an SR 71, and the Space Needle in Seattle is only a three hour drive to the North, or you can take Amtrack, they have three trips a day. I also know of a quite little Bed and Breakfast not too far out of town with reasonable rates for that country farm feel.

Or you can do what I did..I took my lovely bride some 28 years ago on our honeymoon to Milwaukee...They have a great Zoo, and three huge tit shaped Botanical gardens, Home of Laverne and Shirley and not to mention Happy Days...And who could forget those wonderful breweries...This would be a sure winner of a hot spot to go...

Don't forget to try one of the world famous Sheboygan Brats, and Whitefish Bay's smoked chubs while you're there.

Now this would be a polaroid moment

I can just fly into the Buffalo airport correct?  Would it be good to rent a car or is there a coach bus service into Canada? I know she wants to go here.

I LOVE Hawaii, Oahu to be exact.  I really wanted to go back there again in May, but financially I don't think it's going to happen.  I promised my wife next time we would get one of those oceanside villas.  We stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore.  I'll never stay anywhere else, I don't THINK!

HG Yes you fly into Buffalo airport..I would rent a car drive the 22 miles and get a room at the Quality or Comfort Inn Cliffton Hill as said right in the middle of all the action.

My hubbie took me an awesome spa resort in Connecticut once...can't remember the name, would know it if I heard it though. Anyway...it was beautiful and not too far from Mohegan Sun Casino. It was so relaxing and romantic...I was VERY grateful my husband took me there
