tires and wheels for h1

i'm considering putting different wheels and tires on my h1. it is used primarily for highway driving. i'm wanting a nice riding, lower noise tire if possible. where have you guys found the best deals? do you have to raise or alter anything to increase to a 20 - 22" wheel size? i'm sure someone has dealt with all this before and their input and experience could help me in my decisions.
