Thump in the drivetrain

I just bought (leased) my H3. I love this truck! It goes off road right out of the box better then anything I have driven with the exception of the HMMWV's I drove for Uncle Sam. The MPG could be better, but I think it will improve with mileage, and if I can keep the transfer case out of low range. So far my only concern is an audible thump that can be felt through the drivetrain when going from coast to accelerate. I first noticed it doing this a couple of days after I took posession, before I had a chance to take it farther then some gravel forest roads. My dealer told me they all do this. I used to drive in 3rd around town, then shift into drive when I would get up to 45 MPH or so for the freeway. My dealer also told me to stop doing this, just drive in "D". Reguardless, the thump is still there, and it does it at all speeds. The last vehicle I had that did this got a new trans at 62K. Even though I am leasing, I don't want to go through that with this vehicle. Is any one else experiencing the same thing or have any ideas?

my h3 does the same thing, ive really just become accustomed to it, the blazer xtreme i had before it did it (dealer said nothing wrong), and my aztek also does it (dealer said nothing wrong), I think gm likes making it shift very hard, there is another post if you look through the h3 topics itself, i had a post when i first got on here, and others told me it was normal,
