Het guys, at last we left it that my dealer adjusted the sunroof and all was well until yesterday. We got a bunch of steady rain and my H3 has water in it again. The water is coming thru the sunroof drain tubes down the inside of the rear door pilars and collecting under my rear seat. I noticed that this happens when my H3 is parked on a slight incline. The gave me a loaner and I'll keep you posted. The sunroof looked closed, i.e. the glass was even with the roof.

They should replace the carpetting as well to prevent mold growth. That's rediculous. I've had two moonroofs in my life, one had a chronic leak (4-Runner) and the other was as tight as, well uh, it was tight (Beetle Turbo).
Sorry to hear about your problem. How far is your dealer from you, and most importantly, did they give you a loaner H3 or something better?

Sorry to hear about the leak issue. I was very leary about getting a sunroof too, for that reason. But, we've had one of the wettest spring/early summers I can remeber for many years, and we have not had a single issue with leaks with our sunroof. Hopefully it will stay that way. This is the first sunroof I've had in any vehicle (mostly due to being leary of them) and so far I've enjoyed having it.

The good news is that the dealer is only 2 miles from my house....Bad News they have a deal with enterprise rental so I didn't get a Hummer I got ..a Caddy CTS Sedan. This thing sits low to the ground. The dealer called yesterday to say that they didn't get a chance to look at it so the waiting continues.

Well the dealer says he can't find the leak, however he did see the wet carpet and the water drops coming out from behind the rear door pilar, where the beige piece meets the black piece around by the seatbelt. They cleaned the carpet and told me that the next time it happens bring it over and this time don't open the back doors until they do. ( What the hell is that, the service manager believes that it might be coming in from the door seals. I told him that the first time I noticed the sunroof was down on 1 side and they adjusted it. I'm not crazy the water is coming in thru the sunroof and running down the drains). They will replace the carpet the next time and I presume ever time after that until they find and fix the leak. Does anyone think I should take it to another dealer?

OUR sunroof does not leak at all, too bad about yours. Hasn't your dealer ever heard of a garden hose? Surely they can spray some water on yours to try and recreate the problem? Having you go away and return the next time it happens just prolongs your frustration, and delays action for another time.

The only way they can test it is by running it thru their carwash, I guess I'll have to take a bucket of water up there and pour it on the roof while they watch. This is getting frustrating, I don't know about anyone else but I don't want my truck with water inside it. I really like the sunroof just wish it worked properly.

Dennis- How can you sees what you like if the sun don't shine in?

Let the sun shine in...
BTW- Trey,
Mine started leaking about the same time as yours. They made a slight rail adjustment and said that both drain tubes where clogged and one was disconnected! They dried and sanitized the carpet. I got stuck with a Surburban for the day. Had a couple of heavy rains with no more leaks. Good luck with yours.

Sunroofs/moonroofs or however one refers to them, are nothing but a PITA...ain't that right Dennis? The H2 is the first vehicle I've purchased in over twenty years which had one (aside for a Ferrari and Corvette which came with a targa top), but only because the H2 came with one; otherwise, I never would've ordered an H2 with such a structural intrusion. So far, after already having the entire OEM sunroof assembly replaced only two months after purchasing our H2, it's been trouble-free to date.
