stereo stayin on?

I have installed an aftermarket stereo into my 2003 H2 and am having problems with the stereo staying on after I have removed the key and closed the door. Someone mentioned that my Rap must be bad or blown. I know that this is retained acessory power but what exactly is it and where is it? Is it a fuse or module or? Help!
