So, as HummerForums grows due to the great members here, we will need increasingly more moderators to help keep an eye on things. I also didnt want to make the H1 and H2 guys feel like we werent concerned with their models, so I would like to announce our two newest moderators!
So, without further delay, Id like to welcome blackstangs281 and Injunfarian to the HF staff!!
I didnt make an official announcement, but this past week, importkiller also came aboard, and I would like to welcome him as well.
A big thanks to all of the great members here for putting up with the occassional crap, and making this site so great!

ok, all if now forgiven. Now if Ben could just stay healthy I'll be in a much better mood. Don't know if you heard the news yet but he underwent an appendectimy (sp) Friday and will miss at least 2 weeks from what they are saying. Also Ward id doubtful for Thursday. Bad way to start the season.

yea but damn, kids in his third year and still will not play a full season. Especially hard this year that we are only carrying 2 qbs, batch isn't the most durable guy either, he has had injury problems almost every year of his career. If he goes down we have to use our wideout cedrik wilson or the rookie Jacobs that Cowher may call up from the PS.
I heard that it could be a week to ten days then day to day but I think personally think it will be longer, Ben is already 25-30 pounds under weight from the motorcycle crash, I don't see this bieng as normal recovery with the other recovery he is still going through. I heard a few reports speculating that his appendix may have been injured in the car crash and went unnoticed, or was not badly injured enough to show on the body scans....a shame if that's the case. They can beat the Dolphins and Jags with batch but man we need Ben fully healed and in game shape for the Bengal game!

i thought that when bens issue was announced that they signed jacobs?

they did but they cannot put ben on the unable to perform list cause then by rule he will have to sit out I think 6 games. So they signed jacobs but may not make him active. If they make him active they will need to get rid of a roster spot to make room for him. I haven't heard a definate final answer yet, but I also haven't read the steelers board yet tonight so I could have missed an announcement.

we also just signed St. Pierre back to the practice squad so it looks like he or Jacobs will be activated to be backup to Batch, unless ben is physically able to be a backup
