New to forum and read the last 4 months of posts and noticed that alot of people are having the same problem as me, those @#$#@ side mirrors!!!! I own an 03 and they don't power fold and the passenger side is loose so when you close the door it swings in about 1/3 of the way so I can't see out of the passenger side mirror. The dealer said it would cost $2100. I read on one post that there was a recall on those. Is that true? If it is, shouldn't they be replaced free of charge? If I have wishful thinking, anybody have any ideas on how I can fix the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My thoughts are this.... if your dealer already gave you the $2100 quote then they are not interested in fixing them under any kind of warranty. If you have never had them worked on in the life of the vehicle... then it's my thought that you are screwed.
On another note.... I am sure you can get them online and do them yourself cheaper....

I would call the dealer again and tell them you have heard of them getting replaced. Maybe they will do some looking and replace them for ya.
Or at least give you a discount!
