I was looking forward to watching this guy work his tail off for nothing. How many times did the snow plow come by before he figured it out?

Had to be like 4-5 times, laughing my butt off. I have about 3 neighbors that do this every time it snows. They will be out the whole time it snows shoveling. Maybe it's just me, but I wait until it's finished and do it once.

Seems logical. Maybe these guys get their exercise that way.

When I lived in town, I just paid the kids who came around to shovel

Yea, I think they are getting too lazy for that. Haven't seen one kid out doing that yet. All of the parents are doing it. I didn't have a choice when I was a kid, it snowed, you shoveled. The grass grew, you mowed it. Didn't ask if it was needed, just did it. Must be nice, my step kids are the same way though. MY oldest son is pretty good about things, but My two step (really consider them mine, just stating the difference. I wasn't around for their "formative" years) AND my youngest boy are all pretty much the same. You almost have to argue with them to get them to do anything.

When I was a kid, I just saw dollar signs when it snowed. I even bought my own shovel.

I only saw snow a few times when I was growing up and never enough to have to shovel.

My daughter is a full time student at JMU and works two part-time jobs. I told her not to work, she doesn't have to but she insists. She is also pretty conservative politically. I am one proud and lucky dad.

I got into an argument with my 17 yr old son about it today. Full blown argument. I would have gotten more done by myself, but it was a matter of principle.

My youngest daughter is that way. She is only 16 so i still have hope. The oldest is turning out better than I ever dreamed about considering where she was 5 years ago.

It is a painful process. Love them to death but sometimes you just want to rip their F&%$%ng head off.

They should make a Wii game about shoveling snow, mowing the grass, vacuuming, etc. Than maybe they know how to do it.

Heck my nieces play all those Wii games and now my wife wants me to get her one. I'll stick with my XBox 360. Remember Root Beer Tapper? That was a hit video game so one that would do chores isn't that far off.
