That is scary. I was and still am concerned about that. Especially if I had not ever been in a particular garage before.

If you can clear the low clearance sign at the intrance to a parking structure, you can clear everything inside the structure. at least in the isles. Some spaces may have a low overhang on one side or another.

ya when i saw the cement beams if they ever seattled i would of hit but i stayed in the middle. i know if you pass the entrance but you never know whats inside after years of the garage. That happens around here with bridges a tractor trailer goes threw one end fine and hit when he comes out.

That's usually because the dumb ass truck driver didn't check his clearance before hand. The signs on bridges indicate the tallest height that can safely cross under the lowest part of the bridge. You do have to be careful though, becasue in some of the older areas back East the signs are meant for a 40 foot trailer or shorter, and the 53 foot behemoths we drag around now wont clear if the reason for the low clearance is because the roadway slopes up immeadiately after the bridge. Another reason for a truck to try to deliver a complete bridge is because the roadway was paved and someone forgot to change the clearance on the sign. Again, that is typically an Eastern area thing, but the West is definately not immune to that.

H3 top clearance----

It is scary going into those parking garages, the lowest clearance should be at least 6' 6" inches. Of course the garage I ran into (the top of) was the one attached to our house. My hubby got a huge laugh over that. In fact he laughed about it for days afterwards.

that is funny but i put a levlening kit in and 35 in tires if it was stock no problem and for the truck drivers it is the state when they pave the road it higher on one end.
