You're right, I agree with what you're saying about wanting my piece of that guys ass too...
But in this creep Saddam's case..Dragging out the inevitable would not have served the progress of Iraq (what little of it there is)..You might say he was fuel for the bad guy's causes...Now dead, he won't be this looming influence on the country...So as I said in this case, it's gonna have to suffice as a package deal....The other crimes yet untried, are a no brainer as to what their outcome would have been...So in the end, the results are the same, but only sooner rather than later.

The crimes against them were far worse than what he hung for so yes, you have a very good point there but ... after all he put that people through I think they owed them their day in court so to speak ... Imagine for example the genocide during WW2 ... What if he would've stood trial for something far less and been given the death penalty but never been tried for what was done to the jews!? How do you think the world would reacted then!? I realize it's probably not 100% apples to apples here but the underlaying principle is the same ...

Yeah..but You can't mix this with ethnicity for comparisons, this is a special situation they had in Iraq..you know, an exception to the rules..You have look at it with the one underlying fact in mind..His being alive for all the other crimes to his people and to be tried for them, would have left the posibility of his release somehow and getting away with it all...If it's an error to hang this guy too soon, then the error was on the side of best case senerio, and that is let's not lose this fish ...As the saying goes.."A bird in the hand is worth two in your bush"

AMEN..No war is frankly..but war is hell, no matter what the reasons..and getting rid of the SOB was a necessary evil that had to be done then and there, instead on our shores later, where you would have more of the repeat blood shed of civilian people like in 9/11 and worse...You can't wait around thinking he and people like him will never come to our front door with their agendas..At least I won't wait, I'll go for the preemptive strike anytime over waiting for the first punch..

i guess i could have stated that differently, since the animosity never originated with you, so for that i apologize. however, you're not the only one that reads the posts, and i have no desire to read more of the bs that's propagated by our government. if i want to hear lies, i'll tell people how huge i am (4 massive inches baby - in girth !). at least everyone gets a good laugh from that . . . i simply don't agree with the war in iraq, never did and never will. one man's death doesn't justify 3000 young Americans.
