Hey Ray..

I think you can get to the fog lamps by reaching into the bumber area from underneath...But the side markers, I believe you have to remove the wheelwell liner to get at them..still no biggy, just a PITA,cuz you should take your wheel off to do it...

Dennis,
I noticed the wheel well liners are also secured with large staples.  Can those be removed and re-applied?

NO! leave those alone..those are the high dollar, special stainless staples..they hold the rubber skirting to the wheel liner..you have to pop loose and remove all of these button rivets...

Dennis, before I destroy these plastic fasteners do I need a special tool or will gentle prying pull them out?

See that notch in it?...Take a small screwdriver and pop that center plug out and then the rest of the fastener will come out.

Figured it out. I replaced the turn signal indicators with the European clear lenses from ebay and used the Sylvania Silver Star chromed turn signal bulbs. I had to remove the wheel well liner by removing all of the plastic fasteners (about a dozen) as well as the mud flaps. Left the wheels on, had enough clearance. The bulb is easy to get to but to remove the whole unit you have to take off the front grill (6-10mm bolts/nuts). Not a bad job at all, took about 45 minutes on the first side, 25 minutes on the second side once I had it figured out.

And it was 105 degrees out, maybe 104 in the shade.
