If you figure out how to install it, let me know. No instructions and certainly not intuitive.

Will do they say all you need just a basic tool set i think there are already pre drilled holes under our car to mount..

Looks great! Do you loose anything from your departure angle?

I think that is going to reduce your departure angle. It looks cool though!

Plug in a big trailer hitch and anyone that runs into will really mess up their ride, plus it mounts sturdy to the fram - unlike that cheap crap in the pics

to me those bumper guards just dont look to be bulky enough to do much, but ya never know, the littlest thing can take alot of momemtum from running into the rest of the truck

Well, I couldn't give a crap about someone else messing up their ride and a big trailer hitch wouldn't do much to protect my back-up camera in the land of bump-stop parking that I now live whereas this thing will - a little. Anyone hitting me hard enough will drive the ball/receiver right through their grill and the rest of the front end will continue on to do a good amount of damage. This thing will more than likely bend and allow just as much damage from that kind of a hit. Again for me, this would be so the crap I am throwing into the back and the SFB NJ drivers bumping the rear not knocking my camera off.

HumV, thanks for the pics, but even when I try to lighten them up, I really can't make out how it mounts. If you have a chance, can you take and post a few more with a little more light on the mounting points?

Thanks

When I bought my H3 in Aug. 05 I was into aftermarket stuff big time.  I ordered the same rear bumper guard.  Well when I got it I was thinking this bad boy might make a great boat anchor. I installed it anyways.  Now 2 years later,  its of of the most useful additions on my H3.  Its great for stepping on when I load my top rack and has saved a few dings at work by sleepy peeps in the morning.  Its very sturdy and well made.  Agreed, it looks kinda funny on there but its usefulness has more than paid for  it.    Just my 2cents for another Steelcraft rear bumper guard owner..

The instructions are way off
you have put the metal plate with the welded  nut behind the top black bar located right ontop of mufler tip. then put your support bracket (you need an extender for your socket wrench to reach)

Looking at the pics, does this guard come out enough to protect the H3X fiberglass spare tire cover?

ALPHA XY

NOTE: this will NOT fit the ALPHA!! They must have changed the muffler attachment points on the drivers side of the muffler. The pass side fits as described, but It looks to me that GM added an additional support to the back 1/2 of the muffler. If I was to guess the I5 guys will only have one twards the front of the rig???

Also, even if it was to fit, the rear camera may be blocked a bit...anyone have additional info??
