QUESTION ABOUT MY SUNROOF

i think my sunroof has an issue do i have to hold the button until it open  or just press once and it will go all the way in
 
i have to press until thesunroof is all the way open thats how it works 

Thats normal. If you push it again after its all the way open, it will open a bit more, and then one more time a little more to all the way open. you have to hold the button the whole time.

I don't have to hold mine. 1 push and it opens up 3/4, and another push will open it up all the way.

Same here.Go to the dealer, maybe the sun roof lost its default configuration stting.I' am sure he can fix that on the spot

no probs here just have to hold it down at first and then the auto takes over, 2005.

In an earlier thread, I outlined the issue that I had with our sunroof shortly after purchasing our H2. Initially the sunroof worked just fine; i.e., depress the button once to open it and depress the button once again to close it completely. About two months 'post- vehicle purchase', I was then forced to hold-down the button until it closed all the way, and then eventually, the sunroof would no longer close at all. Although my local Hummer dealer tried reprogramming it, it was later determined that it was in fact 'binding-up' and would actually require the replacement of the entire sunroof unit...under warranty of course. Since then, it has worked flawlessly.

Mine as well. They didn't get the AUTO sunroof feature till 2005 models!!!

All I have to do is push mine and hold for a sec. and it will open all the way. If I only want it part way then I'd have to hit the button while it was opening...

all the cool kids have t-tops, right??

I wonder if you can swap out the switch to the newer model...IT is all in the switch...might be a good cheap mod to do.

Don't know anything about that...But anything that violates the integrity of the roof is going to be a probelm in my book,...including and not limited to; T-tops, rag tops, moon roofs, sun roofs and bullet penitration...etc.

It's actually the whole motor!! My Rig is in RIGHT NOW having this problem fixed. Happened a year ago and they replaced the WHOLE SUNROOF!
 
I told my service guy that since I had this problem AGAIN....They should replace it with the NEWER, AUTO version. He said he'll see what he can do.
 
I bought this thing called AUTOLOC a couple of months BEFORE my sunroof went last year, but haven't installed it yet. I wanted to wait till my sunroof was 100% cause I didn't want to chance voiding any warranty!!
