I have purchased an H3 two weeks ago with 9,223 miles on it. Now has 10,1XX miles on it. I started reading about the head problems tonight and began getting bothered. Well I go outside and check the manufacture date it is 08/05 (according to the polls there has not been one with that date in for the head problem yet), then I check the vin# it falls within the range it is 681xxxxx. I open the hood because I remember when I bought it seeing a GM recall label. The recall label is a tiny square/rectangular sticker reading
GM Recall
05097
Completed
Dealer Code
202222
Do not remove
I understand there is no way to predict if the H3 will experience the head problem, my mpg seem fine as I baby it driving
(2-3 rpms) and get 16-17 mpg. Every once in a while I notice a very slight shudder at idle but it seems very infrequent. What I am trying to figure out is, the GM recall label on the H3, is that the label meaning that they have replaced the defect head? If not does anybody have a clue what recall done was? Also anybody's 2 cents on this is appreciated, getting into the 10,000+ miles range am I started to get out of the danger zone were the most head problems are seen? Any help would be great I got another year left on the warrenty so I can breath some relief as if the worst happens GM can pay for it hopefully!

If you can get to a Dealer they can run the Vin to see all that was done. My best guess is the Head was done by what you posted.

thank you, i am keeping my fingers crossed that either it has been replaced or the problem wont occur. Anymore advice of 2cents is still greatly appreciated!
