Photo Uploading

Sorry for this B.S. Post, but I am losing my mind trying to figure out how to upload a photo to show you all or make it my Profile Photo.  I took some .gif & .jpg photos to upload.  The smallest resolution I could take was 527kb.  I cropped it and everything.  I even resized it to like 290x203 or something.  Yet everytime I try to upload it I get the file too large error.
 
How are the rest of you posting such cool photos but I can't seem to do it!   What am I doing wrong?

135 x 135 is the largest size you can use for the Avatar photo.

The size for the Profile Photo is
 
(290 X 290) Max. 200KB;
jpg/gif are supported
 
Others use Photobucket and link pic's

My mistake..it's 145 x 145..

I tried 200 x 200 and it said file was too large..
 
290 x 290 is the picture size for you profile picture..

Like blackstangs281 said, create a free account at www.photobucket.com . Once you upload the photo(s) from your computer's hard drive into you photobucket account, then they will then provide you with an image URL link (begins with http://) which you can use to link to this site. Highlight that photobucket URL link (located in the top box above your photo) and then right click it. Then left click your mouse to where you want to insert your photo in the body of your forum message/post. Next, click on the small yellow square at the right-hand side of the HummerForums message taskbar which will give you a script prompt box where you will enter that image URL into. Just right click your mouse and paste the image URL into that box and click okay. That should add your photo into your HummerForums message/post.
