I was wondering if, any of you guys have tried out any of the after market performance chips?

I don't think there are any chips out yet. I talked to a guy at jetperformance (jetchips.com) about a month ago and he said they were working on one that would produce about an 18 HP increase. If you hear about any chips out let me know.

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'll appologize in advance. Isn't that what PCM for less has/does?

Yes and I am waiting for my reprogrammed PCM any day now. The swap took less than 5 minutes (+ 30 minutes for security reprogram in my driveway) and should be the same when I take the loaner out and put in my reprogrammed PCM.
So far, everything I have read here (on the PCM page) has been positive. Soon as I try mine out, I willpost my impressions.

On the internet there is one called Unichip but its something that you put inline with your PCM. Thats why I was trying to see if anyone has tried any yet.

If you have an H3, use PCMforLess. I was one of the first people on here to do it, and it made a HUGE difference in performance, especially having a manual transmission (that's probably why I have issues now

). The engine idles smoother, you get better mileage and definintely better acceleration. It's like driving a completely different vehicle after you go through a few tanks of gas and it re-learns everything. I wouldn't waste my money on anything else.
