Go to ROTM section and see for yourselves
Actually, I was thinking of sending my cousin Vito over to "borrow" those wheels, tires AND that canyon and bring them all here to NJ. I don't think ImportKiller and Muddydawg75 would mind those red rocks to play in and around.
Hey Doc,
Man what can I say... you need to get that Alpha to Moab! I'll even nominate you for the next ROTM, I think it's time for an Alpha and I really like your ride. I guess the one thing I'd like to add to mine are the cab lights, damn they look sweet. I'm flying to Boston Monday morning, want me to eject the tires and wheels over NJ while I'm flying over?
Heck, I'd give the nod to your Lotus for ROTM.. maybe Impy would approve of that???

Sure, I'll PM you my address so you know where to drop the wheels
Problem with the Lotus is that the 35" MTs rub at full lock. Almost have the winch fully installed though.

The funny thing is some of the trails through Wharton are so gentle the Lotus could make it easily....
now... that would be a photo shoot...

Well, in all honesty, I never had so many women whip out their puppies as I drove by as has happened when I am in the Lotus. Most amazingly, the men in their cars didn't seem to mind at all - they seemed to be encouraging them. Maybe the girls were just trying to get a free breast exam or something.
On the other hand, i have been stopped 4 times by various LEOs. Twice by troopers in CT and RI, twice by RI locals. Why? Not what you think ... in every case it was "I just wanted to take a look." I always obliged and then popped the hatch to show them the engine ... 450 twin turbo, twin intercooled HP just waiting to run free ...

Your Lotus just bumped a Twin Turbo Pantera 1 notch down on my list......
(I'll have to look, but I think I have a pic of it's engine bay...Full polished...Sweet for a car that old)

Yeah, those are awsome machines - I had a link to a forum for those guys - I'll post it when I find it.

Crap....I just noticed the juice bottles in those pics............I wonder what that whole set-up spec'd out to......Dont remember seeing a placcard......
I still like your Lotus better.
How persnickety is that baby......or is it relatively trouble free?

Honestly, these things have a reputation for problems but I haven't had anything of any significance. The other guys I know (there aren't many Esprits around) have the same opinion. I am about to do an engine rebuild but that's only because I want to raise boost. That means more stress on the pistons, bearings and head bolts that they were never designed to take for extended periods of time (like at Watkins Glen).
