don't quote me, but the turbo shouldn't affect gas milage much if any under normal driving conditions (if you're not going into boost, it won't take any extra fuel to keep the same air/fuel ratio the same, in theory..)

One of the benefits of a Turbo over a SuperCharger is that a turbo can be driven out of boost and it does not create a parasitic drag on the engine. Therefore, out of boost, the H3s should get MPG the same as stock. Under certain cicumstances you will see better gas mileage as you now have the power to tow, go up steep hills, etc without having to really push the engine into the higher RPMs.

The nice thing about buying a Turbonetics turbo kit is that they only sell 100% complete kits. All turbo components, all installation components and full fuel management that is Plug n Play!

Also, Spearco tests all of their intercoolers underwater for leaks, so a properly installed intercooler with properly torque'd t-bolt clamps can be completely submerged and run without leaks. If anything the water will help cool the charge and make a few extra HP

Ummm..  Yeah..  I need 350hp of water fording ability...   Heck with that kind power it's not called fording..  It's called skipping...    Of course the intercooler isn't in the water at the point..  Soo...

Yeah Jesse..  There's one heckler in every group..  And today it's me..

Seems like it's good kit and deal for those that need it..

What will adding this do to the Factory Warranty?  I have heard GM would need to do testing to approve keeping the factory warranty.

Also what type of Octane gas will be needed?

Wholly crap, I have to visit this place more often. I made a comment on one of my forums that I could use more horses under the hood and BAM - HERE IT IS!! Now this is definitely something I would want in my H3.

I am 99% sure that a dealer can't void a warranty based on any aftermarket part. They do however, have the right to charge you to fix problems that they prove are caused by the part.

If you add a turbo and your tranny breaks, they can probably prove it was the turbo's fault. However, if your stereo stops working, they would have a hard time linking the 2...

Hope this made sense...

Will this work with a new 07 H3? Or is the engine too different? If it will work what HP gain are you looking at? Still just 350 or a bit higher?

Thanks!

Hello Wu Jen,

The kit has not been tested on the 07.. If the kit fit, the larger displacement will change the tune. Custom DYNO tuning would be required.

Sorry I couldn't give any difinitive answers. My hands are tied unless it's been tested and approved my the manufacturer...

Thanks

Ok who has received the kit?? I want one bad but want to wait and see if there are any new kit fitment problems or tuning issues. Jesse is it possible to get a copy of the install instructions??

Hey jn1300r,

I wouldn't worry about "new kit" fitment issues. Turbonetics does top quality R & D and wouldn't be selling a kit if they hadn't tested it and re tested it, etc. For arguments sake, let's say they do find a problem with fitment, they normally retrofit all kits sold free of charge. They had 1 piping change on the 350z and G35 kits and sent out $600 of new piping to all customers free of charge :)

Yeah, PM me and I'll send you a link or a copy... Turbonetics doesn't have them online yet, but I have a copy.

Jesse

I think the question everybody wants to know the answer to is:

"Will it work with my magnets?"
