After a long time not being around the forums, its 4x4 season and time to get back into it!

This might be a bit early since I can't get a good picture but I am just way too pumped to not share the new rubber on my truck!
I just got home with them and I'll be getting some good shots in the next 2 weeks.  Saturday is a BBQ/Muddin run and the Saturday after that is trail cleanup at Manistee forest and then Silver Lake with the Hummer Owners Club!!!

I'm glad you didn't put Toyo's or Cheng Shins on your HUMMER.  There's something that just isn't right about that.

I like the whole look on your truck. The side decals are a nice touch with the black-n-white look. Can't wait to see it with some mud sling on it!

They're not tooooo bad.  Got them from a wholesaler for $225/ea.

Thanks for all the comments, I'll be sure to post more pictures once they get broken in a little...and when I get the 5th tire for the back.  Pro-Comp had to special make it for me!  There is not much worse than having a non-matching spare!  I feel like people are always judging me from behind and talking about my arse.

Good to see you too Doc!  Thanks for the compliments.

Hmm..maybe I sould do some campaigning for ROTM once it all gets finished up!  I've got lots of other projects in the works on it.  I'll probably be posting some how-to's through the summer on onboard air, wiring, lighting and CB radios and I also have a bunch of my winch mounts made up for sale!! (*cough*shameless plug to buy one*cough*)
I also feel like I could hold my own in a wheel/tire conversation now after measuring up and fitting that combo I have.  Thanks to IK for  answering the same questions a million times on here!  It kept me from having to be the one asking.

Definately let me know if you head up to the dunes!!!  We should see if we can organize a little group run up there before busy season hits.  I heard it was crazy last weekend for opening.   The dunes were intense and still snowy.  Here are some things for the events calendar, let me know if you head to any of them.  I'm not sure if I'll do the clean-up but I'm definately planning on running up to the dunes!!

Careful in the soft sand in those skins Ghost, you'll find yourself sitting on the frame in two spins of the wheel!  Not that someone from Florida would know diddly about sand, Ahem....

You know RealJeep.........I keep seeing you put up these comments about Toyo tires........I'll be nice about it this time......and last time.......have a little respect for others, there are members here including my self who have Toyo tires, every body can voice there own opinion but sometimes you just need to know when to STFU.............

thanks Guy!
Yup!!! School is DONE!  I am officially a computer engineering MASTER!  But you all can just call me master for short.
I've been working full time as a web programmer...its been quite an adjustment pulling a 8-5 with a 1 hr commute each way every day.  Thats why I went MIA.  But starting to get the swing of things and the cash to throw at the truck is nice too!  Time to start saving up for that slantback h1 ive always dreamed about.
But then again...I miss school....I'll probably go back.  Mechanical engineering looks like fun dont you think?

Totally off topic, but its my thread and it just came to me.  The new(ish) member categories remind me of a good joke I cant resist telling.

Two goldfish are in a tank.  One turns to the other and says, "You man the guns.  I'll drive."

Goastrider - How's the road noise with these tires?  They look great BTW.

While this may not be a popular opinion, I must agree.  That's about as wrong as GM putting a Japanese built transmission in the H3................ OK, maybe the transmission was a bad example.......

The roads have been wet most the time so its hard to tell if they are louder but today it dried up for a bit and i put all the windows down to hear and it really wasnt that much more than the stock ADV tires.  The average passenger wouldn't notice a difference.  So far I am really impressed.  With the offset wheels I was able to get just a slight rub on the sway bar on lock-to-lock but it was the same with the other tires.
So so far I wouldn't say there has been any on-road change at all.  It looks like there will be very minimal off-road also.  I have tons of clearance.  But I did lots of homework ahead of time to make sure.  The only issue I had was that the holes around the lugs are very tight and the stock nuts and stock socket or impact wrench wont work.  I have to carry a breaker bar and thin-wall socket in the truck now in case of a flat.
That and trying to find 5 tires and wheels.  still waiting on that 5th tire (3 weeks to go) and those are 2nd choice wheels because 1st choice couldn't get to me for 10 weeks!!!!
