Hello,

I have always dreamed of a hummer and now with the affordable H3, I finally have one.  I love it.  Aside from just driving it I can't beleive how good the sound system is.  Just waiting for some snow here in NY to plow through it.

My one complaint is I fear backing up.  I can't see anything.

I leased mine and didn't want to waste money on add ons just to turn it in but I think I want to invest in a back  camera.  Do they make an add on for that?

Hey BOLT....Welcome and Congrats!!

Just to BEAT EVERYONE ELSE...

As far as backing up, You do get used to it. It took me a little while to be comfortable in my H2, but now it's nothing to parallel park

I did buy a backup camera just because IT'S COOL!!!!

I'm sure some of the H3 peeps can help you with types available for your rig!!

(I'm not supposed to be posting on the H3 side)

Welcome to the world of H3-dom and to the forum!  You will get used to backing up that rig eventually. I learned reaaaaaaaaal quickly to survery my surroundings BEFORE I get in to back up (after a very embarrassing mishap of backing into a compact car with a client in the H3 with me! LUCKILY no damages)  the great thing is the H3 will "turn on a dime" practically so with some luck, and caution you should be OK..throw in a back up sensor/camera for extra measure!

I forgot I signed up on this board and just found this post from about a year ago.  Well it's been a year, and this is the only picture I could find.

Hello and welcome! You are going to love the H3. As far as backing up, learn to rely on your side mirrors more and not the rear view mirror. You get used to the limited view out of the rear. Parking lots are the only place that make me nervous because of small children running about and stray shopping carts.

Welcome to the forum. You will get used to backing up and parking very quickly. After some of the vehicles I have been driving the H3 handles like a sports car.
