Wow, that's great. And, uh, without seeing the price I bet its something I can't afford  ARB - you need a stateside test candidate? I'm here for you.

alrock, why did you have to mention price and bring me down like that?

I like that. Being an ARB it should run 1000 or more. I like how they utilize the factory tow mounts.

Have they put a release date or any prices on that piece of art yet?

Doesn't look bad. Wonder how much it weighs, and if they tried it on an Alpha. The torsion bars on the Alpha might not be able to handle that much weight. The regular I5s have upgrade options for the additional weight. I'd like to see a side view to see how far out it sticks out. Hope they make snorkel for it.

Why not get the Boulder Accessories one?  It installs in minutes and it's proven to work. Trust me I used it on one of the trails at Rausch Creek.

I have had ARB bars on previous vehicles (not H3) and it does require a suspension upgrade. The are a heavey steel bar and weigh a lot, esp if you add a winch and some lights. So anyone thinking about would need to address that first ....

If cost of other bars is anything to go by I would expect it to be about $1200 (AUD) + fitting + paint. The fog/driving/indicator light insert are additional and normally add $500. They don't use the oem driving lights which is a bit of a shame as that would reduce the cost . All up about the $2.5K mark..

To me I think the bar looks too ARB! - I think with the distinctive styling of the H3 they should have put a bit more thought into it's asthetics and made it look Hummerish..

The bar is called the Deluxe Winch Bar, ARB have another series called the Sahara bar that may look better. It has the same bumper structure with a single stainless or alloy polished loop. I would like to see this on the H3 as I think it would look much better.... Like on the Lexus below ...

I am with you ozHummer. I had a Sahara bar on a T1 Patrol and loved it and when ARB originally told me what style they were doing my immediate reaction was the same as yours..Sahara.

I reckon it would have looked a lot better given the big chrome grill of the H3. I understand why they have gone the way they have as the numbers in Oz are going to be limited. I must admit I am still a bit undecided.

I shouldn't speak for Doc but I think it's 'cause the ARB diff cover looks sexy as hell.  I couldn't wait and got a (color matched) Purplecranium spider diff cover.

The bumper in the pic is the completed one for the Australia market. There are some changes being made for the North American model that should be completed shortly.

I can tell you though it does not stick out very far, it is well tucked. In my opionion it is in the top 3 good looking bars ARB has put out.
