SWEET!!!!! We are going to get one of them or the caddy cts when the hummer's lease is up.

I test drove a CTS a couple years ago, liked it OK but then decided not to purchase. I am currently driving a CTS loaner (a week now) while my girl is in the shop. You could NOT pay me to buy one now...well OK maybe IF someone gave me one! LOL  Way too small, no room in the back seat or trunk - couldn't even put my new vacuum cleaner I bought yesterday in the trunk.  My head feels like it is up into the visor and windshield practically anddddd, every time I go to get in or out, I nearly hit my head on the doorjam - and I am only 5'8!  Otherwise it's a cute little car with some "get up and go."  I'd seriously spend a good amount of time in one before you get one.

I had one for a few weeks...whenever the h3 goes to the shop I get a CTS. I found the trunk storage plenty big...matter of fact I fit my 6 ball bowling bag and my brothers 4 ball bag in the back with room to spare......thats kinda strange.

The trunk in the Charger is freakin' huge...
importkiller
7/28/2007 7:57:53 AM
hell yea...I was amazed when I saw the trunk. The only reason I am leaning away from the charger is that the cop cars in my town are chargers. I don't want to be driving around a police cruiser..might as well buy a crown vic

Just curious if you checked into the Chargers resale value?

Reason I ask, I've owned 2 Dodge autos, and had to take a huge hit on resale on both, unless I traded in on another Dodge, which wasn't happening...

The wife has been wanting a Charger, but with our past history with Dodge, I'm pushing her to get something else.

Your Charger is sweet looking, get it to Mark Cole's and slap some tint on it...

After Mark got ahold of my Camaro Super Sport, it came back to me with a 1 foot long scratch down the driver side rear quarter panel from someones belt buckle when he did the rear window. Yes, he did have it repainted for me, but i wasn't fond of having "factory paint" being broken.

Mark wont see ANY of my business anymore. But Tint is on the way..

You in Evansville too?

Edit: Forgot the other question..

Kind of hard to check, since this is only the 2nd model year. She plans on keeping it for 4 or 5 yrs, so I'm not sure where it will be at.

Man, I've never been anything but satisfied with their work.  I had an issue show up after 6 months on my crew cab, and he took care of it no questions asked, and bought lunch while they fixed it to boot.

I'm north of you just little, but I'm in E'ville 2-3 times a week (had dinner/drinks at Kipples last night).  Keep me posted when your going to get your truck dirty...

He's was going to come get his truck dirty with us next Saturday at the Badlands park, but NOOOOO, he had to get a new job as da po po.  It's ok though.  We don't hold grudges

Are you still working next Sat J?

After having driven the CTS over a week now, I am very sure we will NEVER own one. Rough and very noisy ride (but then I am used to driving a Lexus LS430 for comfort and luxury.) I also don't consider a "luxury vehicle" full of black plastic to be "luxurious." To each his own.....and that's a whole lotta balls ya got there!

Wait a minute.  You found the CTS Loud and Rough?  That car is almost silent.  Maybe you had an older one with alot of miles on it.  I think maybe that crack is getting to you finally

Yes Mike, the car is loud and drives roughly. So much so, the hubby said yesterday after driving it on a day's outing that he would forget considering one. So it isn't just me. I have had 2 of them now in the past week and have driven them for over a week and neither drove any differently than the other.  The AC was so loud that we had to talk over it, yet in order to cool the car off sufficiently, we had to have it set where it was and the road noise was nearly as loud as the vette! It is an 07 and the mileage wasn't drastic.  BTW...crack is whack! Perhaps you should lay off of it

me thinks your loaner cts was beat to chit by previous drivers....much like I did to mine I drove that lil SOB like I stole it....BTW..it takes turnpike off ramps at 70 rather nicely...but gets real loose in the gravel My cts loaner had like 1100 miles on it and it was real tight and smooooooth. I do agree it's no lexus but it's also not in the same price range either, at least I don't think it is. Then again..... I have never had a luxery car except the mercedes I drove when I worked for a mercedes dealer...so I have nothing to compare it to. I can honestly say it's quieter to drive and smoother than my dodge ram and my h3

Did YOU have my loaner before they gave it to me??!
OK I won't argue your point LOL.  And yes, you are correct about the cost - the Lex was nearly twice the price, so there is NO comparison. I guess I just expected more from the CTS.  But that all aside it's just IMO this car doesn't fit my lifestyle I guess.  When I literally have to duck my head to get in and out of it and my head is nearly up into the visor. Maybe I am just to used to the roomy feel of a larger vehicle.

oh I hear ya, my brother was dead set on buying a cts...till he test drove a lexus....said there was no comparing the two. I forot what lex he ordered but it was the one that parks itself...forgot the name of it. He said after comparing the two the cts felt more like a fancy cavalier than a lux car...so I understand what you are saying....and I agree with you.

That would be the LS460 I do believe...SAWEET! AND mucho dinero! Ours is the LS430 one step down which was a $60K vehicle. (We would have never paid that kind of $ for one -  but had the very sad occasion of inheriting it last year.)

OH! And one last thing...These 2 CTS's that I've had drink the gas like crazy!  I kid you not - I got better gas mileage in the DTS's Ive had for loaners and it doesn't do much better than my H3! Makes no sense to me!
