need advice, may bebuying 2003 h2

A good friend of mine who owns a local GMC dealership traded for a 2003 H2 with 12,000 actual miles. The original owner had 11 vehicles and did not drive it much. The vehicle is literally like new. I currently drive a 2004 Yukon Denali and have loved it. Was thinking about trading up to 2007 Denali but really like the Hummer. What do I need to know about it before I buy it. I can buy it for right around $29,000.... a lot cheaper than the Denali. Thanks for the help.

For that money, I don,t think you can go wrong with a 12000mile H2. Has service been up to date?

The service is complete and everything is like new.

the h2 is a better vehicle than the Denali in every conceivable area....like comparing a mustang to a vette.

Yeah, I had a 2002 Denali(which I loved), but when I got my H2, I never ONCE thought about going back!!!!

Have  you drivin the H2 yet?  That is how I got locked in.  I just bought my 2003 H2 3 weeks ago.  I drove one to see how much I would like it with plans on actually making a purchase at the end of the year.  Once I actually got behind the wheel of one I just had to have one.  29K sounds like a great deal for only 12k Miles.  Mine has 60K and I paid 27K and retail was 33K for it.  I have wholesaler hook-ups too.

Looks like a cool deal ! 03' w/12K what is that?, a whopping 3K per year
Looks clean, even the tires still look new!
 

The one thing I did notice after looking at it again.... you have the old mirrors....  you will most likely have a problem with them at sometime...

Like Mdawg said, the old style mirrors were notorious for failing to auto-fold.  I had my right one replaced twice under warranty, then gave up.  I never needed to auto-fold them anyway.
 
It sounds like a good deal with the low mileage.  But as you add miles your potential trade-in value for it will drop more rapidly since it is a 2003.  Also be prepared for 12 mpg at best.  The good thing is it runs on 87 octane.

but if you do get it, and the mirrors don't work, make sure they replace them with the old style.  why on earth would you need another badge on the vehicle that says H2?  mine worked until they got forest-folded a few too many times, got new ones (same style, under warranty) and now fold them in when the trails get narrow.  still sounds like a good deal, you should do it.
