Covered under warranty.

Even Hummer Roadside Assistance covered the ride in the flatbed wrecker 145 miles to the Hummer dealership. Man, I love my Hummer! Getting my rig off the trail and to the road was the hard part!

Well, it started off good.

Then came hell in a hat basket. You should of been steering left while goin right, or somethin?
Was it a tie rod fracture, or did the joint end fail? I'm guessing breakage. 16MM could be beefier ? At least I think if I recall they are 16, can't be 14MM.

How do you get your truck off of a trail like that when a tie rod breaks without causing more damage?

Wow. It sounds like you made out well with all of the trouble you had. I didn't know they had larger tie rods. I wonder if I can get those replaced on mine when I bring it back on Monday

I think my ball joints are going bad. There's been a few H3's at my dealer that have had to get them replaced, and have the same symptoms I do, where during a hard turn going over a bump the wheel sounds like it's going to fall off. The Half Shaft has to be replaced again.
Well, you know, most of us would be bragging if we had to pull a Jeep out of that situation, so that doesn't say much. Like you said, at least they helped.
