Woohoo!  I just got a call from the dealer and our H3 is in line for production this week!  He says it's still taking about 1 month for delivery, but at least I am feeling closer.  I know this isn't big exciting news for most and some may feel it's a waste of a post, but I'm excited ant this seemed like the right place to share!

And the excitement will continue to build until the day you pick it up.

Can't beat a custom rig just for you.
I'm sure you'll be happy when you pick it up!
Welcome to the club!

Congrats! You will love it when you actually get it and can finally say, it's mine.

I don't want to rain on your parade but I do hope it gets built this week.

BECAUSE, Mardi Gras is very, very early this year (never known it to ever be this soon), Fat Tuesday is Feb 5th, that means that practically every true cajun is starting to party daily for a two weeks prior to Fat Tuesday if not more.

Granted, the plant is in Shreveport up in the NW corner of the state, a long way from Nawlins' BUT, I lived in Louisiana for many a year and most of my family is down there still and every town celebrates the holiday with partying 24/7 for weeks leading up to lent.

My point is, I hope YOUR Hummer gets out before all the hangovers start happening, I hate to say it but I'm guilty of it myself. Heck, the company I worked for in New Orleans actually gave us Monday and Tuesday off just to go party and enjoy the debauchery.

You know, the plant is only about 3 hours from my house. I'd love to tour the plant, I wonder if I could call my dealer or the plant PR dept.

Has anyone from this forum ever visited the Hummer plant in Shreveport?? I think it'd be very cool to get a tour.

Thanks for the welcome!  As for the details, it's Boulder Grey Metallic with Ebony leather.  Got the Luxury Package, Off-Road Package, Sunroof, and trailering package.   Also got the MT instead of the AT.  My family has long been diehard fans of the stick for no other reason than they seem more fun to drive.  Not knocking the AT's, of course...to each their own.  That's why we have options.

Also ordered the the rocker tubes, chassis protection plates, and the brushguard.  I don't plan on doing any severe offroading, but probably some light stuff.  I figured the tubes and chassis protection were cheap insurance for the "just in case" factor.  I'm installing all the accessories myself.  Couldn't see paying  the dealer a small fortune to put them on. Saved quite a bit ordering them through Flow (gmpartsdirect.com) rather than the local dealer as well.
