just wanted to let any one no if u dont have a performance exhaust u need one. i searched the internet for prices and i found a place that has a magnaflow cat back dual exhaust system for $479 total/ i paid no tax and the s/h was free ups and i got it in 2 days they have 29 shiping locations so they ship from somewhere where u live hopefully. this is part # mag 16630 so u H3 owners jump on it. its normally $539 but have a $60 instant rebate. come on $479 total. my local shop wanted $650 for the same part.they installed it and just had to pay them a extra $20 being it was not there part from there shop. it took them 20 min start to finish. i love the new sound of it and it goes well with my trueflow air intake system and cant wait for my pcm gets back from pcmforless i am going to need the extra hp for my new hood louver i just picked up. i had a putco plastic one on there but got one of the real ones and it was 25lbs. ebay $150 retails for $609 it had a factory blemish but barely noticeable. the down fall now is the hood dont stay up from the weight so i have to get stronger hood shocks.. OK, important question for me...What does it sound like at 55-75 MPH highway driving. Is it quiet (like stock) or is there a drone? Reason why I ask is I put a Magnaflow cat back setup on another vechicle. I loved the performance, but when driving on vacation, I had to swap it out for the stock exhaust. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sounding exhaust, however having to put up with 12 hours of drone is not fun. Now that I think about it, I didn't have to put up with the kids fighting in the back seat or listening to my wife telling me how to drive...hmmmmm. In all seriousness though I do not like the drone.
Thanx

There is a drone sound at that speed, 2200 RPM I hear most, it took about 4 days to use to it, not that bad

I like mine. Drone, yes, loud and obnoxious, no. Peformance flow thru exhaust let's more air out, together with more sound.
The maganaflows actually take over a 1000 miles to break in, burn off the cutting/machining oils, and stabilize in tone. After those first 3-4 tanks of gas, they sound great.
At 50-60, you don't really hear much, at 75, the sound is there.

Just got my MagnaFlow and Airaid installed, both within five minutes of the Fedex truck pulling away! Took about 45 minutes to install both. I've driven it about five miles so far so I can't comment on 'the bad' but damn does it sound nice. I purchased mine through ebay, $460 total. The Airaid was an ebay find too at $180. Next on to the torsion bars and tires. Then ????????

Nice H3 mate and welcome to the Magnaflow club, I see your into the Bling Thing well done I have not seen a red H3 with as much chrome as you have "looks great". Keep us posted with anymore mods you do. Im off to Brisbane this weekend to drive a Supercharged H3 5cyl, this guy has made his own kits and is getting 296hp at the wheels (437hp flywheel) cant wait to drive it and if it looks like a reliable modification I will be ordering one.
