Anyone know of a good system? Looking to get two, one on each side of the front. So, I can see obsticles while wheelin.
I've searched but all I seem to find are back up cams.
Thanks,
Mark

I would think that the back up cam can be mounted in the front and a switch installed to activate it.

exactly...a back up cam is still a cam...instead of using the reverse + wire to power the unit just hook it to a switch. To wheel with isn't a good idea though...first sign of mud and the lens will be covered....first sign of rocks and the unit will be destroyed..

unless you are planning to spend big money and get a system like they use on NASCAR suspensions.... or Monster Truck suspensions...

Doesnt the back up camera show in reverse? At least this is how it is on my rear cam.

Do you have a website for this system? Curious to see how much they are. When i was looking into a setup a while ago, I remember seeing one for around $1000. But the kit came with a recording box as well.

Someone on an earlier thread was talking about a camera mount they just got for taping their wheeling. I thought the mount was a camera mount that attached to the light bar/roof rack.

Mark, on my reverse camera there is a button to reverse the image or to show normal. Actually right now I have it mounted on the roof (inside) with velcro so I can see the baby.
btw...you have a PM

Race optics has what you could use... like you said around $1400
http://www.raceoptics.com/quadpro2.php You would still have to come up with some type of wiper system to keep the mud out... like they have on the tops of the racecars...
I can't seem to find what I used to have bookmarked.

Glad I could start you in the right direction... you know once you have the model number for something and you start googling things you never know what you might turn up...
