). you've either got springs or air bags above the rear axle just inboard from the tire. if you have airbags, then you have a compressor, that will contnuously adjust the pressure based on driving conditions. i've heard of them adjusting at red lights, but couldn't tell you if the sound you're hearing is loud or normal (no air on mine). another way to tell, if you don't want to look under your rear (probably some volunteers here though that would look for you
) is to see if you have an air fitting on the rear passenger side interior panel, just inside the tailgate. one way to tell if you have a leak would be to measure the distance from the rear bumper to the ground when you park at night and then check it again in the morning. if it dropped significantly, then you might have a leak. or, i could be talking out my ass, since i don't have air suspension and don't know if an overnight sag is normal or not . . . .
