I'm in mourning

On top of what was suppose to a joyous holiday (Steak and Service Day) my Xbox just died.
 
I turned it on to see the Rings of Death and an error message on my screen.  So for the next month I'm without my mistress, my friend, my baby and my gaming console.
 
I don't know what I'm going to do with myself until I get it back.  Please pray for a speedy recovery for my baby.
 

Not having a game console and not having the time to play anyway I am sure that I cannot properly empathize with your loss. The depth of pain that you feel must be staggering. Perhaps on Steak and Service day your wife will go to Blockbuster and rent you an Xbox to use on this your special day.

I used to play my PS2 ALL the time. But don't have time for it anymore, it just sits there collecting dust. Never got into Xbox, my son had the 360 and sold it after 6 months. It broke 3 times and then the whole power cord issue.

Or your wife could always order one from Bob's place in Canada.

Bless my wife she told me to just go out and buy another one, but I see that as a waste of money.  I guess over the next month I can work on making some more artwork or cleaning up the garage/yard.  I'll be wearing all black until that joyous day when my baby comes home to me. (Geez you think I'm taking this hard, huh?)

             Trey im sorry for your loss.... Let me tell you about my story.
I bought my first xbox 360 in 2006, well it lasted two years right up to before I went to vegas. I got the 3 ring of death one day, called xbox no problem.. I was surprised because it was 2years old. They sent me the empty box in about 4-5 days. I shipped it back to them a day or 2 before I left for my trip. When I returned it was at the house. SO somewhere within a week i had it back. cool right? nope... hooked it all up and within the first 10minutes of powering it up, she died again for the 2nd time. This wasnt even my same xbox it was newer, it was a 2008 model. I couldnt have been more mad and xbox hotline got a earfull. so now I sit here waiting for my 3rd xbox to arrive. Sounds like I just had a couple bad lemons you say hunhh? Nope, im pretty good friends with our fedex guy here at the shop. He said (while laughing) yea I see this all the time, ive delivered like 3-4 xboxs back and forth to a couple different residences.
SO good luck my friend, and I will let you know how #3 goes.

I hope I don't go thru that, I waited and bought the Xbox 360 Elite edtion.  It's one of the first that I heard that have had this problem.  I spoke with support and they told me that if they can't fix it they'll just send me out a brand new one all at no charge. 
Quick queston for you ebrown did you have to buy any Xbox Arcade games all over again and where you able to keep your gamer tag?

Small ray of sunshine, my wife wanted a Wii, so we went out and got her one today.  So even though I'd rather be playing my Xbox360 I can play with her Wii until mine comes back all fixed.

Just when I thought you were going to be spending more time on the forum with us.......

At least it's SOMETHING!!!!

I just played one game on the wife's Wii Wii and that was boring.  It's like playing Pong after you've played Grand Theft Auto.

Tell me about it.... I didnt want to say anything after your first post about getting the wii, but now that you complaining I will jump in.
I had the wii to check out for a couple of days. I borrorwed from my gfs brother before i went to buy one. I cant say I liked it whatsoever. Maybe with a couple a friends over while drinking I could see it being fun, but it just cant compare to the xbox 360 or even a ps3. Its weird you say your wife wanted it too. It seems like alot of woman like it. I have noticed this.

Wow no jokes about my wife's Wii Wii.  You guys are letting me down.  I'll be so happy when I get my Xbox back, until than you guys are going to have to put up with me.

It won't take too long Trey.  Two weeks max going by experience.  You shouldn't have any issues.
 
If you want a good game to play on the Wii, rent Red Steel.  It was the one and only game I ever liked on the Wii before I sold it.  I had it on release day, but ended up playing the 360 most of the time anyway.  Red Steel is good though.
 
You're missing all of the 32 player Frontline games.  Pretty intense stuff.  Army of Two is pretty boring.  If you are in to the COD games, Army of Two is like present day COD mixed with GoW but without the fun.  It's like playing a present day GoW with mindless people running around shooting you. 
 
The point? You aren't missing much right now except for Frontline: Fuel of War.  If you one of the suckers that bought LOST and finished it in 5 hours, well, don't buy that game   Unless you are a fan of the show, you won't understand it.
 
I do feel your pain my friend.

Sorry for your Loss Trey.  I dont know what I would do without my PS2 or Wii.  I only play Guitar Hero on the Wii though.  I love that game.  Im  on the 7th set of the Hard Setting and I have only had it for 3 weeks.  Of course I also play guitar so I may have a slight advantage.  I love the role playing games.  My favorites are kind of  old though.  Scarface, Godfather, 007, and more latley True Crime.  Keep in mind im realy only a crappy winter weather player.  When Spring and Summer are in full swing I almost never play the video games.

Trey, how classless would it be to make fun of another man's wife's wiiwi? You are right, i can't believe no one jumped on that.

I got thru LOST in 3 hours, got all 1,000 Xbox points.  Fan of the show and that game was a let down.  As long as I get my Xbox back by the time Grand Theft Auto comes out I guess I'll be happy.  I thought the Wii Wii would have got atleast one joke.  You guys let me down.
 

Probably too easy. Take a guy with the name of Major Woody and throw in his wife's wiiwii and the possibilities do seem endless.
