I venture to say that this build is probably 100 times better than the real McCoy...I was looking at an new H1 Alpha a while back on the dealer's show room and I was not impressed at all has to how crude the body fit and finish was...especially for a $150,000.

This things is making the rounds again and turning up on everything from ricer sites to deisel forums.
I too had seen this project some time back (used to lurk on that site cause of my old Bronco and F150),
but had forgotten about him till this latest re-surfacing.
I am simply amazed at the things these fabricators can do....From mind, to hand, to reality.....
Here is another set of vehicles that I dearly love (powered by tank motors of all things)
Jay Leno actually bought one. The Blastolene Indy Special I think.....

Very impressive. Lots of work and skill here. I wonder how expensive and what steps you need to go through to get something like that safety inspectedamd approved? Then, what will an insurance company think?

Register it as a home built vehicle (think dune buggy or sand rail), get it appraised, then the insurance company will do business for a price $ $ $ .
At least that is the way it works here in TX.
I had a buddy or two that did the kit car thing and that is what they ended up doing.....That Lambo Diablo kit was one mean looking MoFo.
Guy never told his co-workers it was a kit and they never could figure out how an electrician could afford one.......
