If those are 35's, it looks like there's still a lot of room for bigger tires, like 37's without a lift.

So, whatever happened to the new H3 Truck? Seems like we forgot all about it!!

I love this line.
"A power-operated winch is located in the front bumper, and the HX has recovery hooks mounted on the front and rear bumpers, just in case its help is required for wrangling others out of unfortunate off-road situations. "

Ok so I'm fourth in line, forget the deposit I'll pay for it in full. If this concept makes it to the showroom floor I'm buying it.

Dear Wife,
You KNOW how much I love you, right

Who needs a sports car, a luxury sedan, a second car to just get you from point A to point B, when you can have a fine piece of machinery (hopefully not a piece of s#$#) such as this. I think we should wait this out and get this as our second car. After slowly picking myself off the floor after seeing this vehicle, I knew that even K.I.T.T. cannot compare to this HX. If we do, I will take you on the shopping spree dreams are made of.

Don't get me wrong, it is sharp as hell. Looks tough! I just get too attached to my vehiles so it would be hard for me to let my current one go (I can understand your situation HummerGuy). And I haven't forgot about the truck, I think that is what I'm waiting for. It's fun and still practical. Not trading in for a P/U, but I never knew how much I actually use a P/U until I got rid of it.

The H3 truck would be kinda cool. Although I was reading something about the concept H2 SUT with a longer bed. I would like a truck and I love the look of the Hummers 1-3 (I wonder how it would fit in the garage though, since the normal H2 barely squeezes in there).

Well, the Chicago Auto Show is coming up soon, and besides that being the official unveiling of the New Challenger and Camaro, the rumor is Hummer is also "officially" supposed to inveil the H3T and HX. I'm planning on taking the day off so we can go to all of those ceremonies. I'll take alot of pics that day and post them once I get home.
I really want to see what the H3T looks like. I may just get one of those instead since my wife is into pickups, but I think once she sees this, she'll like this more. It will probably be her car anyway.

Hummerguy you beg well...it just might work. Also the H2 easily fit in my garage except for height and it had the rear mounted spare tire carrier. I would think the truck, even with the extended bed would fit in the garage. In fact my F-250 crew cab (reg bed ) fits in the garage by a CH. Can't wait to see both!

Don't get me wrong. It's a good looking rig, but it's hard to come out with something original and separate from Jeep when you try to build a direct competitor to Jeep based in a vehicle lineup whose original design appearance was produced by Jeep LOL
Go ahead. Flame me lol

Every car mfg. has borrowed from the others. If something works it works. When it comes to off road capable vehicles some things have to be present for them to work well. Wheels out at the corners to eliminate overhang, clearance, big deep wheel wells for wheel travel, etc... so any off road vehicle worth a damn will exhibit a lot of the same basic design characteristics. No way around it.

LOL Yeah, I'm a "Jeep-Guy." But I recognize and respect the heritage. I have a lot of respect for the H1 and I love the look of the H3. I think they could've done better on this one, though.

regardless, the wrangler should be worried. h3's pwn cherokees (and i aint talkin indians). i have a good feeling the h4 will do us proud too.
mark it down: the monopoly ends in sep 09.

I think we are going to see more H4s on the trails any idea of what the price point is going to be?

sorry...but if the h4 is an IFS then it will not compete with a wrangler...especially a rubicon...just ain't gonna happen!!!! The 4 door JK is comparable to the h3 in every size aspect and a 4 door rubi will wheel circles around an h3 adventure. Comparing the vehicles is silly anyay...why must people say one is better than the other....go wheel and have fun...they are both capable machines for god sake's.

Check out the side views of the Hx, it's got the longest trailing arms I've ever seen used with rear independant suspension. I wonder if this indicates that it will use one of those set ups used by fully independant suspended rock crawlers? If so, this could be a game changer for production off-roaders. Othwise I agree that typical fully indepenant SUV's are not a lot of fun to drive off-road.
If Hx proves credible, it could skim away most high-end model and highly optioned Wrangler sales.

agreed...but I HIGHLY doubt you'll see that suspension in a production vehicle...if so expect to pay more for the new h4 than an h2....sad, I'd love to see that suspension on a stocker.

well i, personally, dont consider the h3 a direct competitor of the 4-door jeep. it competes w/ the cherokees, specifically grand...which it pwns off-road. hummers are considered luxury off-road (?) vehicles. 4-door jeeps are more recreational and not so luxurious...
to be honest, i dont really care which one is "better" than the other. im just

back at our new friend, OK.
also, i never said the h4(x) would be better than a rubi. until it comes out, we'll have no clue. just that it will compete in the same market, which it will...whether we think its better or not. im just happy that someone is trying to compete in that market since the wrangler has been the walmart of recreational autos. i know suzuki tried with the samurai

, but now there's potential for a real competitor. and, that's good for lovers of both brands as it will fuel price competition as well.

I think it will compete with Jeep, after all Hummer's motto is to come out with vehicles that are the tops in their class in off road capablity. But let's not rush to judgement and there is room for everyone on the trail.

LOL I'll consider myself poked.
But I agree that with IFS, this thing is gonna get smoked by the Wrangler. Any wrangler. Hell, even a CJ.
Shame they didn't make some attempt at an SFA. Would be nice to see a real offroad rivalry again. Even if it is sibling rivalry.
I vote Jeep buy back Hummer and make 'em tough again HAHA (simmer down, i'm kidding on that one).
The H3 competes with the Grand Cherokee? Dude, what are you smokin'? I don't think anybody has told Jeep or GM that LOL
